Who is SD Building?
SD Building is a custom builder based in Springboro, Ohio, focused on delivering superior service and results to its clients. From design-build, renovations, additions, or framing, our specialty is cultivating intimate working relationships from start to finish. We pride ourselves on the level of craftsmanship delivered and building to a higher standard.
Mike Doliboa, President
Mike started his career in the mid 1970s framing, building smaller homes, additions and commercial construction. He learned the skills needed for working as a general contractor as well as forming a framing company. It was his experience then, and it remains now, that at the heart of a building's success lies the framing. From it stems every trade to follow and it sets the tone on how that build will proceed. With 40 years of experience here in Dayton, Mike is proud of his close network of engineers, architects, and all the tradesmen who have proven their ability to deliver on their promise. With them, along with his in-house team, he is focused on low volume, high quality projects that are satisfying professionally and most importantly, meeting your expectations.
Peter Garde, Project Manager
Home builders, laborers, and tradesmen have an obligation to work with integrity and honor. Taking pride in their work and holding themselves to the highest standards isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s also good for business. Peter first learned that watching his father, an architectural engineer, fight with unscrupulous contractors on behalf of his clients. His drive to stand alone, no matter the winds, has given Peter the courage to do the same. He takes that responsibility seriously. In college a professor instilled in him the importance of scholarship; being a student of one’s trade, a life-long learner, no matter the subject. Ten years ago when he began the journey into construction, what drew him in was the freedom to create. Making something from nothing. Along the way he’s been committed to adopting the right materials, latest innovations, and proven best practices. He considers himself a life-long learner as a skilled carpenter and detailed builder. This mindset reminds him to be willing to adapt, change, and grow. Peter’s goal is to usher in a new wave of innovative design and green solutions for both retrofits and new construction. “It's all about building to a higher standard”.
